Very good place , I have been going there for years. It seems the dishes have been a little more spicy lately so I don't know if they got a new chef, but it is still very good. Very casual and relaxing atmosphere with excellent attention from the staff.

Delicious food, clean, small place to dine, mostly take-out but definitely worth the visit! Look over the menu before you go so you have an idea of what you want. Enjoy!

I am so happy we decided to venture out of Milwaukee to try this place as we have been looking for good Thai since being a transplant. This is my type of restaurant as it's not all about the ambiance and frills but more so about amazing food and a family atmosphere. You walk in and up to the counter to order and they will be super helpful guiding you if it's your first time. Now the food was great and the spice levels I feel like are appropriate and aren't just hot but add flavor. I am so excited because both the crab Rangoon and Pad See ew I had were great and the Panang curry my fiancé had was great even reheated. Amazing restaurant with great service and they are super helpful.

The place was packed and for a good reason. It is pretty small but the food is amazing! We ordered an appetizer platter which consists of a good mix or apps. I would suggest if you want to sample a little bit of everything, get it!! We ordered 3 noodle dishes and a red curry dish. We all enjoyed our food. Spicy level 3 was perfect!

Really enjoyed some things and liked some others okay. All around the entire group thought the food was good. They don't have pork as an option which is a minor bummer, but the chicken was good. Place is small, so if they are busy you'll be waiting to sit and eat. Staff were very friendly and accommodating though. Offered to go ahead and take our orders ahead of time. So if a table opened we could sit and eat without waiting longer or if not, take it all to go. We waited probably 15-20 minutes before a table opened, but since they took our order early we were basically able to sit and immediately get our food. So, kudos to the nice staff.

My husband has been wanting to come here and to be honest, I didn't. I told him it was a chain restaurant but I'm glad he dragged me there but it's nothing that I said it was! We got in and the line wasn't too long but by the time we got to the counter there was already a 30 minute wait for food. They had to-goes out the window! The line inside built up fast and that was the turning point for me where I thought, I might wrong about this place. There is limited seating, to-go seems to be what a lot of people do. But we got seated and waited! When the first dish came out, teriyaki beef skewers, they looked like bbq and we got super excited! They were sooo good. Served with a salsa which we thought was unusual, don't sleep on it. The two paired so well. I got parang curry, my hubby got pad Thai and the boys shared Pad see ew. The curry was some of the best I've had. Had a peanut paste or something in it, delicious! The pad Thai was good too and I feel like pad see ew is a no brainer for kids! It was so good and worth the wait! This is our new Thai spot!

I've dined here or carried out several times since they opened. The food has been consistently delicious with efficient service! You can order online for carry-out, or if dining in, review the menu board, grab a portable menu, or scan the QR code on the menu board to pull it up on your phone. Then place your order and pay at the counter and find a place to sit. They will give you a number for your table and bring the food to you. It is a family owned and operated business, so you know a lot of love goes into every dish. I've enjoyed various dishes including the OG Platter, which includes Lao Grilled Steak, Lao Sausage, OG wings, papaya salad, and sticky rice. It's perfect for two hungry people or as a starter for a group! The Khao-Poon special from a year ago is a dish I still think about and hope to see again soon! The Chicken Satay with housemade peanut sauce is another hit!Tonight's visit with a friend included the OG Platter, Pad Kee Mao, aka Drunken Noodle, with chicken, with Lotus Flower Cookies (this month's special), and Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. Yes, we had a lot of leftovers, and we weren't mad about it. They are open Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00-8:00, and because they are a small, family operation, they may need to close for a day if key staff is ill or injured, so I highly recommend you follow them on social media or call them when in doubt. This is one of the very best SE Asian restaurants in SE Wisconsin, so if you haven't been yet, make a point to visit!

Very cute, bright and clean restaurant that gives you a homey vibe when you walk in. We did a takeout dinner but liked the interior of the restaurant a lot. We got papaya salad, chicken egg rolls, pork skewers, pad Thai and Jeow Bong fried rice and enjoyed all of them. The packaging & presentation were both very good. The overall impression was refreshing, not too greasy nor sweet Thai food at reasonable prices. The pork skewers were flavorful, juicy with the lovely hint of lemon or lime taste that might come from lemon juice or lemongrass (I don't know). The egg rolls were on the saltier side but still crispy and full of homey fillings. The papaya salad came in a generous amount and included a heavy use of fish sauce (I like it but hubby doesn't) in the recipe. I thought it tasted very refreshing after mixing with the Vermicelli noodles. Pad Thai remained chewy while being not greasy or too sweet. A very successful pad Thai indeed! The jeow bong fried rice was interesting. We got medium heat and while in the first a few bites it tasted like soy sauce fried rice, it got better and more addicting as the spicy flavor kicked in. It's a good dish for sharing. The wait time could be a bit long. But we will be back for sure if we are in that neighborhood again!

Best Thai and Lao food I have ever eaten!! The egg rolls flawless. The chicken skewers were pretty good but the sauces made them 10x better. The service was great. They bring out the food to you but allow you to get your own utensils and sauces.

I once again question why I do not make the 45 minute drive to Sweet Basil more often. Today's visit exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly greeted by Drew at the register. He took my order, gave suggestions, and made sure my meal was handled appropriately and gluten free. Food was excellent as always. I love their spring rolls. They're so fresh. The noodle dish Pasta Kee Mao was new for me and I'm glad I tried it. It's like a beef with peppers pasta dish in brown sauce. I love their pad Thai but wanted to try something different and this did not disappoint. Can't wait to go back!
